Not Happy
Not happy! As soon as she was out of her tub and escaped
my clutches she rolled in the dusty gravel drive way
But at least she smelled better for the family visiting here for the family reunion. Many pictures were taken at the family reunion last week. No time to even down load them from my cameras. Busy busy fun time for our family. Much good food, much visiting and a grand time. The weather favored us with no rain and no real oppressive heat, everyone had a good time. We had our main meal on the beach so the kidlets could swim and the fishermen of the family could fish. My AZ sister and her son and granddaughter remained a couple of days after the actual reunion and we enjoyed a nice time together.

We've been extremely busy with little time to make a good Xanga post or to visit all the sites I usually comment on but life is good here.
Sad to hear of the droughts and the floodings in other areas of the country. Parts of Iowa are still under flood water. Fritzie is helping Boy Genius with his haying. Trying to work around the weather reports of rain. Right in this area things are doing well, for now that is. Hopefully you are well and having a good summer..

nice post!
You actually still have green to look at! We have nothing green on the ground anywhere. Heat advisory with no rain in the forecast all next week.
@andreasiscrazy - Thanks for your comment@TheSunnyC - We had so much rain earlier that it is like a jungle around here. But it can turn too dry very very quickly. In 1993 after the July floods we had no measurable rain for so long things dried up and the ground had large cracks. Thanks for the comment.
Oh if canine looks could kill. hahaha~
We finally got a bit of rain a couple days ago, but it's back to all things crispy now.
@WildWomanOfTheWest - From the news reports it is really bad there. Droughts can be so depressing. We've had drought here int he past but it has never been as bad as other states.
It is a good thing Bella is a sweetie and rather timid because she really really hates a bath!
I am glad to see your post. Me and the virus I brought back with me were in bed almost all day. I would get up and do a few things, then "wham" the bug won over me and I had to go back to bed.
Bella was such a delight, even when she was rolling in the dirt and trying to return to her usual state. Shady loved her as much as I.
Thankfully, I love dry and barren, it just ups the work load having to water around the house to keep it from bursting into flames. And the ponds, I hate seeing my ponds disappear.
I am having a very busy happy summer. I loved seeing Bella rolling in the dirt.
Glad to hear you are having a good summer. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your family pictures.
It's always great to be with family! I'm looking forward to my sister's visit later this month and getting together with cousins too.
Just wondering what body of water are you near to be at the beach?
Hehe! At least she smelled good! hehe!
I like that at least she smells better - that is important for sure!
that first one was not a happy face ... you would not want to see the skooter's face when i ask if she wants a bath ... glad yawl had a great time!!
What a naughty dog! Lol! I think we need a dog to chase away the raccoons! Friday through the night we had another batch of chickens slaughtered! We had a 'lid' on the tank they were in and the lid was pushed off and all the little ones gone. We are on the warpath!
Hope your Sunday is wonderful!
@WildWomanOfTheWest - we've had droughts in the past and it really is worrisome when you have crops and livestock. I hope you soon get the needed rains. I hope you have a good day today.
@cerwindoris - Bella is a hoot for sure!@dingdongdingbat - We alawys have this family reunion at Nine Eagles State Park in Iowa. There is a nice sandy beach area and a lovely camp area. My Dad spent many happy hours on the lake fishing so we gather there in his honor.@ThexGodfather - @murisopsis - @windupherskirt - A clean good smelling dog makes for happy dog owners!@mcbery - Warpath here also! This morning we caught our 1st coon of the season in our live trap. What nuisances they are. They eat our pet food and have learned to remove the lids to the metal garbage cans even when I weigh the lids down. Now we have one less and don't you guess maybe 24 left to go before we can be rid of the varmints. Hope you have good day!
waht sad eyes she has! mine don't like to bath either.
@Lucy_or_Ethel - Thank you~
Why don't dogs like getting bathed??? lol
@Margo73 - Who can know? Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the chuckle! Bella's eyes in the top picture say it all. I really feel like I missed out with the reunion. It sounds like a great one.
