  • I too enjoy dabbling. You name it and I would think it was interesting to try just once.
    Really enjoyed the pic.
    Blessings, Christie

  • I love to dabble. I was looking around at the different craft bins in my bedroom and realized that I actually know how to do a lot of things.  Love your photos! The black and whites are generally my favorites, too. Love that pic of the barn. (the first pic)

  • I love my dabbling sister!  Keep dabbling, my dear!

  • I get the biggest kick outta your pictures.   My hedge row is full of old machinery, and many of your old buildings look like the ones on my place.  I think you should come and take pictures, and stay at the GrannyHummingbird Bed And Breakfast.  A sign in the guest bath says, "Make your own bed...Cook your own breakfast".    (o;

  • great shots and I love the angle of the barn in the third photo.

  • The B&W are fabulous! They have more depth in my opinion...

  • @GrannyHummingbird - Love your sign at your bed and breakfast! I think I'd feel right at home there, thank you. These pictures were not taken at our place but are a common sight aren't they on most farms. Thanks for your comment.

  • @Grannys_Place -
@murisopsis - Thank you for your comments. Yes there is just something about a nice clear sharp b/w picture that I like.

  • @Dominie - Thank you sister dear. Do you think that bungee cord might be holding everything together for the barn. The cord is bright and not faded making me wonder just how long it has been there.

  • I do the same thing! Except I don't play golf. I can see where you really are 'expanding' with your photography, such nice photos.  Peace

  • That cord is a mystery.  Is it attached to a door?

  • Wish you could teach me some photography.!  You are doing so well , and the fact that you enjoy it   'shows'  through them.  I too love antiques!

  • @Dominie - No not attached to anything like a door that I could see. The reason I left it in color was to show how new it looked compared to the old barn.

  • @SewWorthIt - Well thank you so much. LOL maybe 5 pictures out of 100 are kinda' nice. My secret for some rather nice pictures is in taking lots and lots of them LOL. Have a nice weekend.

  • Old barns and farm equipment make fascinating photo subjects. Thanks for sharing these photos and a bit about you!

    Christy

  • @greatredwoman - Thanks for your comment...and also for not saying sharing "so much about yourself" LOL

  • I think you find life an adventure and are just trying to experience as much as you possibly can...sounds like good to me. You do take lovely pictures and I do enjoy them...

  • Well, of COURSE it's all about you....this is YOUR blog, isn't it? We want it to be all about you! I share your three loves so that will keep me coming back for more of "all about you." :)

  • don't apologize my post is always about me.

it is fun to see the world through a lens and when a person tells me that they can't find anything to take a photo of -I tell them to just take a walk around the block with their camera and tell a story.

golf-was never my hobby but it is hubby's and sometimes I go there and take photos cause it is very serene and pretty out there. I can see why he likes it-well, he's not able to since he had the knee surgery on the 10th of course.

  • @dingdongdingbat - Thank you for your sweet words.
@AmericanJanet - Thank you. i always enjoy your site also.
@Babyboomerjill - Thanks for your comment. What did your hubby have done to his knee? I've been limited since I had my knee worked on but I use it as an excuse for playing golf so badly. LOL

  • I honestly don't know a blessed thing about antiques, except that I feel like one some days. And Golf -- well, I guess I know even less about that. But when it comes to photography, Honey-chile, you have a gift! I love your pictures, and they often make me feel comforted and peaceful. So you go ahead with your golf and your antiquing if that pleases you, but please! Don't ever stop the photography. It is something so special.

  • @Buckeyegirlie - Oh BEG you are such a sweet encourager! Thank you.

  • @Lucy_or_Ethel - it started out as a bone spur that was interferring with his knee replacement but turned into a two night stay and removal of his patella button. He said when he got in there he understood why hubby was having so much pain -he said besides the bone growth ; his patela button -the bone shaped like a coin just disolved in his fingers and there was all kinds of crap growing under it. He said that your car sheds crap on the road that you don't know about but in your knee it just stays there. He said it wasn't stuff growing like an infection....I said,"I understand" just crap that wasn't suppose to be there.

  • @Babyboomerjill - Oh wow, never heard of such a thing. Is he doing okay now?

  • the orthopedic dr. said that he's only seen one other case himself. lol my hubby is just full of surprizes.
