Update Edit....I cut my rose
Added picture: This is the same rose yesterday after a rain. Major changes took place

The gentle breeze this morning moved this rose so I could not focus on it so cut it to enjoy in the house, it's spotted with early morning dew.

What a difference 24 hours made.
~~~~~~~
I hope you have a nice day today. Do you have plans for Labor Day? A picnic to celebrate the last hurrah of summer?
When I saw you in my inbox my eyes saw "I cut my nose" and I was greately disturbed.
Thank goodness you are reflecting on flowers with wonderful poetry!
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - LOL Now that's funny and could make a neat poem....prose,rose,nose,toes,heroes,knows...LOL
what a splendid beauty!! blast that wind for moving her about! haha we have cooler temps and a chance for rain ... Labor Day will be for laboring! aargh!
It is beautiful!
Lovely, indeed. Family will accupy my Labor Day. No labor.
Beautiful -- and you even brought inside some of the morning dew that graced this lovely rose.
Just Beautiful!
That is a beauty.
@C_L_O_G - @slmret - @tracy - @Mal_P - Thank each of you for your comment!
@Dominie - A day as usual for us also although today I'll attend an anniversary reception to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. Otherwise back from church and a light lunch.
I think we're just going to kick back and relax a little.... and water the trees...!!!
lovely rose!!
@Tempguestbrief - The new trees need much watering the 1st year or 2 don't they! We planted tree after tree here and watering them with 5 gal buckets was one job for our boys.
Beautiful rose...Busy today getting some food prepared for a family get together tomorrow...got the beans all ready, now to go on to some other things..maybe guacamole next.
What a beauty! Love the way it blossomed out! I'd love to have roses, but need something idiot proof! LOL
Nothing planned for the weekend at all other than the usual. Pool will be closed tomorrow so I'll try to walk some
@dingdongdingbat - Sounds good!
@TheSunnyC - Walking is such a good thing to do, especially as we see fall approaching and it is cooler here.
A yellow rose is a thing of beauty (especially in Texas I hear)!
@murisopsis - So they say!
♪♫♪♫ There's a Yellow Rose of Texas, that I am going to see . . . ♪♫♪
Ahem! "Iowa" just doesn't sound quite so right.
Exquisite! Hopefully it isn't the LAST rose of summer. It really is beautiful!
I agree that it is beautiful, and also glad you cut it to enjoy it up close !
@Buckeyegirlie - Thank you my friend!
@SewWorthIt - Thank you!
Such a lovely shot, next to the bowl of fruit!
No special plans this weekend, we didn't even grill like we do most weekends.
Bobby did grill. And became an old bear. He has gotten to where he sleeps nearly all weekend but I must admit he works very hard. This week 4/12 hour days and 1/6 hour day. And in this heat he comes home worn out.
I have a little rose bush, tea roses, but I have had the large peace rose before...and it seems they are a bud one day, and exploded the next. I do better with fig bushes, pepper plants and turk's cap.
Neat pictures!! Thanks for your comments, enjoy Labor Day!
Finally we got rain so it's been more of a stay in the house kind of weekend. Rain expected for the next few days, up from the gulf and Lee. Don't know where people would have gone for a get away weekend down here. To Auburn and Alabama football games?
@peaceinyourheart - Whatever you end up doing today I hope it is a nice day for you folks. 53 degrees her at the moment, rather pleasant.
lovely~ especially w/ the drops of dew on it!
no. no special plans. the kids are going to a back to school party at friends, and i suppose we'll hang out w/ the little ones. it's cooler here today, so not the greatest grilling out/ picnic weather!
enjoy yours!!!
@grace_to_be - Thank you my beautiful friend. It will be a quiet day here with Fritz and I.
I thought it said,"your nose." lol I thought poor dear.
your rose is beautiful!
@Babyboomerjill - There are those who 'cut off their nose to spite their face', but I try not to be one of those kind. LOL
@Lucy_or_Ethel - lol
