We have a family reunion Sunday. Great food, much visiting and the weather forecast is in our favor. What do you have planned? Hope it is a nice weekend for you.

Fabulous photo...no plans for the weekend. Sometimes it's nice to have a day or two without anything planned. Went to the farmers market and mall and had spaghetti and meatball gelato for lunch. What can be better than that?
@dingdongdingbat - Since you asked, the 1st pot of chili of the season just might beat your meal LOL. Shredded cheese, sour cream and a pan of corn bread along with the chili. A small spinach salad, peach pie with ice cream on top....One of many pots of chili and soup I'll serve this fall and winter. Thanks for the comment.
Okay, the chili sounds good too! Especially with sour cream and grated cheese...yes, lots of cheese. You can see a photo of the gelato on my FB pictures.

Our monsoon has stuck with huge weather, rain, wind, hail, lightning etc. It is its last gasp but a very large gasp! It hit in the late afternoon early evening catching me in a supermarket. I waited an hour for the lightning and heavy rain to slow down.
@Dominie - Even with the inconvenience of being stuck an hour waiting for the storm to pass it must have been quite refreshing to see that rain. How long does your monsoon season last?
@Lucy_or_Ethel -This is the last week normally. It is good to get one really good rain when the monsoons did not give us the usual rain. We were three inches below. Still below average, but more rain could come today. Andi had a window blown out! It blew the glass 50 feet through the house!
@Dominie - WOW! 50 feet! Some wind!! Evidently no one was hurt thankfully.

My weekend went great, because Barbara took off for Michigan (50th anniversary class reunion) and I got a lot done straightening up my study. Plus lots of football watching, of course.
