  • My 1st blogging love…..will you take me back?

What an unfaithful lover I have been. Xanga had been so good to me but yet I wandered far from it and courted another.  I want to return to my first love but am uncertain if Xanga will have me back. If I promise to be loyal and promise to be true will this work out? I read something today that said,”before you can cross a bridge someone must build it”. With that in mind I am beginning the building and will offer this rose as a token of my repentance.

  • Nancy, There is always space in Xanga for you. I like facebook — I’ve found some old friends, and I keep in touch with my children there. But my first love is Xanga — and I suspect that there will be more and more of us that revert to our previous ways of relating to those special people who have come into our lives. The one thing you might consider is that not every comment that is made on your blog needs a comment from you. There will be some that you will wish to respond to, but it is burdensome if we set the standard to respond to every comment. (Some comments we just want to ignore, anyhow!) Of course, as I was reminded (quite sharply) by a fellow xanga-er, “It’s MY BLOG and I’LL DO WHAT I WANT TO ON IT!!!” So, it’s up to you, of course.

But there is no need for penance, dear friend. I’m so happy to see a posting from you that I could dance in my (rose) garden.

  • Welcome back! Thank you for the beautiful rose. I’m on FB too, but mainly for my kids and a few friends. There’s just something about Xanga that draws you back. I don’t know if you read that I got to meet SaintVi, and Murisopsis in person. That was fun. Did you ever sub to I’m Sunflower? Her husband just died. Her name is Linda.

  • @Buckeyegirlie -
@ata_grandma - Thank you for the comments and yes replying to each and every one can be time consuming. Atta_grandma I shall try to connect to Linda, thanks for the suggestion. I’m leaving to vote in the Iowa primary and then for lunch with some of my friends.

  • I’m dancing too, but it’s in my sewing room. I’m so glad you are back.

  • Even though, I too, have been absent, I’ve been reading what other folks write.  I have not gone to another site….just busy and when not busy, EXHAUSTED!!  I think my 78 years has caught up with my tired body.  I find, when I DON’T write on here, I don’t keep up with my daily journal either.  I do want to catch up with that.   As @ Buckeyegirlie stated above, I don’t always reply to every comment either, but do appreciate them.  Nor do I expect everyone to reply to my comments.   ANYWAY…having said that, I love reading your site and I’ll be here, even after you’ve taken a break.

  • Hmmmm is the ball in my court now? =)

  • aw. there’s always room for a friend! :) welcome back~

  • I’m delighted to see you coming back!!!

  • Shame on you for being fickle! lol I’m here off and on and have been trying to be more “on”. Sometimes I just repost something from Facebook but at least I made the effort. Nothing like Xanga friends. So much more deep friendships and actually meeting those you find on Xanga.

  • I’m so happy you have returned home! I missed you!

  • No bridges burned that I know of. Welcome back home.

  • Well, I guess we will give you another chance…I miss my xanga friends even though I try to follow them on FB…darn Scrabble and Words with Friends are beginning to frustrate me over there on that “other” site.

  • Hellooooo!  I’m pretty much hit and miss these days myself, I’m trying to do better.  I’m always glad to ‘see’ you!  Peace

  • With open arms! I look forward to reading your words again!

  • Happy to see you again. love that rose.

  • welcome back Nancy.

It’s ok cause we all come and go sooner or later.

Thank you for the welcome backs!!!

  • Lol! Yes, Xanga is kind of old faithful, isn’t it? Thanks for the heartwarming comment. We won’t be able to vacation with them often but maybe at least once a year. Sniff..sniff. There are so many obligations we have with business, farm, Mom and all. Glad you came back.

  • THERE you are! I have wondered…and because I have only been a sporadic xangan, I didn’t catch your February post about your sister. Life is sad and sometimes dreadful. But through it all, I know we must try to see the joy and beauty. I’m glad you’re here and that yellow rose is stunning!

  • RYC – It’s been beautiful here but pretty dry. Hope we get some rain soon. The lawns are looking brown and the corn looks a little poor.

  • Not only you are welcome but in coming here I read your previous post which I had missed . You need of course to be comforted after such a hard path .

    Love
    Michel.

ps : here is also a rose for you.

  • @fauquet - Thank you kind sir!
